Inexpensive Missal

Hello y’all,

I am getting started in understanding the Tridentine Mass and have been looking online for a fairly inexpensive missal that I can use as a starter before I would get one more expensive like the Angelus or Baronius Press editions.

Can anyone help point me to a good, fairly inexpensive Daily Missal (1961ish) for less than about $20 if possible? Or if anyone has a spare Daily Missal that is used up and they would like to get rid of it, please PM me!

You could always try finding missals on Ebay. They’re quite affordable and in good condition. Also, try browsing in flea markets or church bazaars. I bought my 1957 missal for only 5$ at a church bazaar.

Landon, try Loome Bookseller or BNZ - both are used Catholic booksellers. You will get a better deal with them than on Ebay.

I have a pocket size My Sunday Missal by Fr. Stedman you can have. I picked it up at a book fair for fifty cents last week.

It is 5 inch tall by 3 inch wide. The copyright is 1938 which means that Holy Week will be different from the one currently used. Because of it’s small size the missal is in English only.
