Does the church allow infant baptism during advent? My baby is due any day and my church only allows baptisms on the first
weekend of the month. Next month Advent starts on the fist weekend. I was told there is no baptisms during Advent and I’ll have to wait until January to get the baby baptized.

Well there is no restriction on when an infant can be Baptized. Advent is a penitential season so it would be a more solemn Baptism.
Our canon lawyer may correct me.

If the baby is born the first week of December Advent is only 4 weeks long. However you can let the pastor know that canon law requires that you Baptize the child “as soon as possible” after birth, and you do not want to wait weeks. If you still get a “no”, then all you can do is contact the Bishop which will of course put you forever and eternally “on the list”.
