Ok this might be something of a silly question. So, I’m rather new to Catholicism, and I’m new to my parish (I’ve been going to mass there for about 3 weeks). On the website, it says the Infant Mary Chapel is open daily from 6:30 AM to 5 PM. After mass on Sunday, I stepped into the Infant Mary Chapel, and it looked like it was just a small room with some pews and kneelers and a figure of infant Mary at the front.

I’ll be honest…I’m not totally sure what to do. It sounds obvious to me that it’s probably just a quiet place to pray, but I thought it’d be better to ask than to go in and find out it’s something else, I suppose.

Yeah, you can pray there…a rosary, what you like. You can kneel and pray, sit and meditate. Some people even read scripture in churches and chapels.

This chapel is open because they probably lock up the church. So this is a alternate place to pray in quiet during the day. It the church is not locked, then use that.

May God bless and keep you. May God’s face shine on you. May God be kind to you and give you peace.
