Hello,

I am looking to buy a statue of The Infant of Prague and was wondering how many people on here have a devotion to Christ in this image.

I would be interested in seeing your Infant of Prague statues to get ideas as to which one to purchase.

Also, if you all have any special devotions or prayers that you could recommend to this image I would be very thankful.

Landon, slow down! You must be spending a fortune. 😃

I have a beautiful Infant (9 inches) with a removable crown. In my opinion (everyone is mercifully different), it is nicer than the Infant statues that don’t have one.

The Leaflet Missal Company has lovely statues, and I believe that they also sell liturgical “vestments” for the statue.

If you are very charming, maybe you could find some nice lady at church to make vestments for your statue, as they can be expensive at retail. The Infant statue in our church is a veritable vestment fashion trend-setter. All his clothes are tailor made by the ladies and are exquisite. 😃
 
Here is the statue I bought back in 1977. Its 13 inches tall, has glass eyes and a removeable crown. Paid $90.00 for it back then. I’ve had it repaired several times.

I have recited the Novena to the Infant almost perpetually since the day I bought it.
 
My mother’s side of the family came from Prague in 1865. We have always had a special devotion to the Infant of Prague and I have carried on the tradition. Don’t have a picture of my statue to post and I think I have to have 1000 posts to do so.
 
I remember seeing a statue of the Infant of Prague in my grandparents home. I have no idea what happen to it after their deaths, but I do very much recall it. If I am not mistaken it was often a gift given to newlyweds at the advent of their marriage.

(my grandmother was Polish, my grandfather Italian. Their parents were the immigrants that came to America very early 20th century)
