I am starting to think that perhaps she is not interested in me the way I thought. Rather, she may just be fond of me in a “that is such an adorable older man” way. Unless she is more straightforward with me one of these days, I will continue to operate under this assumption. I will also refrain from pressing her on the issue because if this is how she feels about me I could make her uncomfortable and also I could get in big trouble that way from the boss. This will probably be the end of this thread for me unless her feelings toward me become more clear. At any rate this is all for the best if this is the case. I will move on with my life and be done with this silly middle-school drama that I have worked up in my head (unless there are new developments 😊).

Job 42
When is your birthday?
Job42 would be well advised to ask when it is HER birthday. She’s 17.

But, aside from that, mazeltov.

Re age, there was a joke years ago …

A police officer doing the rounds in his county drives up to Lookout Point, and of course he sees a car there with a young man and a girl in it.

The officer walks up to the driver side window, and there the young man is reading a book on Philosophy, and the girl in the front passenger seat is knitting.

The cop asks, “Young man, how old are you?”

“19” he responds.

“And young lady,” the cop continues, “You look way too young to be here. How old are you?”

“I’ll be 18 soon,” she explains.

“When?” asks the cop.

“1 hour, 10 minutes and 27 seconds,” says the young man, looking at his watch.

I’m not looking for sex. I’m a devout Catholic, or at least I am trying to be. I never even looked at this young lady like this until she (seemingly) showed interest in me. I never ever thought I would be in this situation. Now I have more compassion for men who have been.
