My physician husband of 30 years recently confessed that he has been sleeping with his nurse for years and years. I am utterly devastated. Don’t know where to turn.
Where to turn is easy (Jesus). I am so sorry for your everlasting pain. No matter where this goes, you will bear in your essence, an irreparable scar. There is a place that grace might take you. I believe that professional advice and spiritual guidance are essential to your personal well being. Life goes on, the sun rises and sets, regardless of your desires. You have an obligation ,as the temple of the Holy Spirit, to ascertain real biological implications (STDs) of your situation. I can only pray for your well being. So, So Sorry! My physician husband of 30 years recently confessed that he has been sleeping with his nurse for years and years. I am utterly devastated. Don’t know where to turn.

Oh Jesus, you who said forgive 70 times 7; you who said whoever is without sin could cast the first stone on the woman found in adultery; you who said come to me and I will give you peace; we ask for your healing for this marriage; call this husband to repentance; call out to both of them for reconciliation and communication; bless them and protect them from Satan’s interference.Dear Sister in Christ,What great comfort to have the prayers of the righteous ascending on my behalf. I can forgive and work to build a better future with my husband, but he must turn from sin. God will not remove his free will, but please pray with me that He erect a hedge of thorns to guide him (and her) away from sin. My husband knows in heart what is right, we have never stopped going to Mass together. On the night that he confessed to me we went to Perpetual Adoration together to pray. PLEASE pray that he finds the strength to resist her (hopefully) final desperate pleadings for him to leave me. Pray a hedge of thorns that will protect him and turn her away.
I am awaiting appointments with a Catholic psychologist, and with one of the priests in our diocese. My husband went to confession with him yesterday, and hopefully received good council.
Again, through my tears, I thank you for all of your prayers.
