Isn’t that the most fundamental rule of science? Only talk about that which can be observed and verified?Note that the article you cite talks only of the observable universe, not the whole universe.
This is why the moment of the Big Bang cannot be discussed. The laws of nature we know of were not observably present in the Bang. The Big Bang is a deep and dark mystery for many reason, but mostly because it was a miracle, and that’s what miracles are supposed to be … beyond reasoning.
