Influence of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre on the Ukrainian Church

I heard that there is quite an influence of the traditional movement by Lefebvre on the Ukrainian Church that has lead to the Latinizations and even certain groups breaking away from the Church. Anyone have more information on this?
 
There’s a group called the Society of Saint Josaphat Kuntsevych that is basically the Ukrainian SSPX. They reject the antilatinization efforts of Ukrainian bishops in favor of a Latinized vision of the UGCC, claiming they are only preserving true Ukrainian tradition. I believe their services are extremely abbreviated and recited rather than chanted, and that they are in formal schism and receive their orders from the SSPX.

They were supported in some way by the Transalpine Redemptorists on Papa Stronsay, until that community (once an affiliate of the SSPX) reconciled with the Papacy.

There is also this group from what I think is another offshoot that may or may not have ties to the Society of Saint Josephat, hard to keep all the players straight.

The UOGCC are sede vacantists…unlike the SSPX.
 
What’s with all these abbreviations and words you have to look up - and can’t find in a dictionary!

Just go to your own Catholic church! And pray for conversion and against heresies.
