Because I don’t care to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars of real estate to them thank you. And I can’t refuse to sell to them on religious grounds- hello. If they make an offer, I have to legally view it. And if they have the money in a contract with the real estate agent I can’t say no legally. So I am researching them to find out how loopy they really are. They have been sued for mail fraud repeatedly. But never successfully. Because the courts have stated they have no way of determining if these people really believe in what they say or are con men. (How bright are our supreme court judges anyway). Nevertheless, I am kind of stuck here. That is why I told them my terms are cash on the barrelhead period.

I agree with you, 100 percent— but— are you sure they are the Only Buyers here???

Dont know- my apologies— but come on now----

do you want them to have your business?? If so, fine!

“Show me the Money”!!!👍

And also for the same reason you are arguing with people who blaspheme the holy mother of God on the other thread. who do you think *they *are anyway? Why are you entertaining them?

Look Damascus I deal with the public in a small town. I sell them donuts, and cookies, and pies, and breads etc.

Today alone I had these three with the **50’ radio towers ****on their ****heads that **only they can see, one man who swore up and down that he saw a flying teradactyl the size of a 747 just three doors down from my place, two buddhist monks on an alms round, one Baptist who was angry that his sister had turned into a “Seventh Day Advantage”, two Jehovah Witnesses, one Berean, one atheist, a couple of could care lesses, and 35 Catholics. You can readily see why I don’t take credit cards, just cash.😃
I can’t refuse everyone who comes in my store just because they are not Catholic, Damascus. When you own the only bakery/donutshop on I-5 for miles around, there is no telling who will walk in. Once I had Steven Segal and another Whoopie Goldberg. I didn’t throw them out either.

I bet its not Easy! yuck!! I am hopeful that you planted seeds—

I dont care if they grow- you did your job!

Soddom… and…

Mary, Mother of God , Theotokos!

So many deny your SON. Why? Help us to show them…

Help Tequillamac…

Help us all!
Lord Have Mercy!!!

But if there is a large money transaction, I like to research a bit who I am dealing with.

I have a headache now Damascus. It has been a big day. I think I will call it quits for now.

I have a headache too!!!

Why is it soooo harddd to seee???

Ignore Mary, the Immaculate Conception ----

Here’s a link to their website:

tsl.org/

Here’s what wikipedia says about them:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_Universal_and_Triumphant

Here are a couple of links to groups critical of them:

rickross.com/groups/cut.html

apologeticsindex.org/c18.html

The founder (Elisabeth Clare Prophet) is reportedly in hospice care due to Alzheimer’s disease. The group is being plagued by any number of internal splits and schisms in a battle over control of the group. This may explain some of the profoundly zany things you are hearing. Then again, because you don’t understand nor especially care to understand their doctrines and point-of-view, you may be unintentionally projecting more silliness into their words than they are actually expressing. Though I have had some limited interaction with this group, and they ARE rather bizarre.

The group expressly does NOT have millions of members (probably only 2,000 or 3,000 at most, though Elisabeth Clare Prophet once claimed as many as 150,000 adherents worldwide). The group is in decline and I would be very leery to ensure that they actually have the financial resources they claim to have to buy this bakery. This is likely to be your best hedge against a hostile takeover. Actually I don’t quite understand why they can force you to sell assets that you have not already placed on the open market, but that’s your business. Just be very sure that you make these folks prove they have the cash flow up front to pay. The odds-on likelihood is that they do NOT.
Thank you much for the info. Fact is your group founded by the Prophets is a somewhat different group than the one that is here. Our local group is called the I AM and they were founded by Guy and Edna Ballard. Both dead now and neither ascended body and soul into their energy temple above their heads. Guy was cremated and Edna not sure where she is buried, but their promises didn’t pan out for them.
they were a huge group apparently in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. However Edna died in 1971 and the prophecies from St. Germain died with her. He never made another. So now apparently their group has dwindled in number but they still exist in Mt. Shasta and Chicago. In fact it is estimated that they have over 300 sanctuaries but the numbers attending are overestimated at last count ten or less in each sanctuary.

Now- the bakery is on the open market. I do not know where you get the idea they can do a “hostile takeover”. We are a family bakery and not much bothered by that type of corporate activity. However, having said that, if they make a legal offer in writing to our real estate agent, in our price range, there is not much legal grounds for us to refuse it. Get my drift? Unless of course, they cannot come up with the money.

Actually your Clare Prophet and Edna Ballard were arch rivals. Although a lot of what they preached was similar and they fed off each other, Edna apparently hated Clare. But then I read that Roosevelt hated Edna. You know I read about all these hokie religions that popped up in the 30’s and I am glad I was not born yet.😃

As far as reading too much silliness into it- I considered that and then went and listened again to the messages they left on our phone. Nope. It is really really silly. When someone tells me on the phone that they want to sit in my bakery and absorb my colors so they can turn into their violet flame on the violet planet and access the electron energy from the electronic temple/tower that stands 50’ high on top of their head, well I don’t know about you but I consider that statement to be pretty darn silly. I don’t need to do much to read anything into it- it is blatant silliness.

I don’t know much yet about your Clare Prophet group but the Edna Ballard I AM group- well, it is like it was with Joe Smith- was he psychotic and believed all this stuff or was he simply a con man. With the Ballards, now they are dead, I agree with the US Federal Court. There is no way to prove whether or not they believed in the faith they preached. No way.

Damascus, calm down brother.

While I’m sure that tequilamac is in kind of a bind, I don’t think it’s anything that God can’t help her with either. 🙂

So while I’ll join you in prayer, I’ll just note that we don’t have to assume this group is like Legion looking to obliterate tequilamac’s home town either.

Clearly this group is a bit touched to be polite. But I’m sure that God (and his mother) can protect her and guide her in all these odd legal and financial implications and questions too.

Hmmm…now where can I get one of those invisible 50’ radio towers.

Sorry tequilamac. I shouldn’t laugh. But you have to admit it’s kind of funny.

It is. It is pretty funny. And you know, if they hadn’t brought their dog into the bakery, I might have been kinder. But everyone knows you don’t bring a dog into a food establishment.
I must admit I have a soft spot for people named names like Mountain Breeze, or Storm Thunder, or Streaming Creek.

But it is also sad to see people wasting their lives living a completely non constructive lifestyle.
