Hi friends,
I was challenged in class today to defend the Church’s position that HIV-discordant couples cannot use condoms within marriage. I didn’t do so well. I understand the reasoning against contraception in general, but I’m looking for resources (especially websites or internet articles) that deal specifically with this topic. Most of the available information on the web is either peppered with strong anti-Catholic rhetoric or it makes the Church seem like outdated and naive about condom effectiveness rates. There seems to be little real discussion about how natural law might apply in this case.
Forgive me if this issue has already been hacked to death. Anyone know of any good sites?
Thanks!
