Trying to dig up some stuff on the good and bad on sexuality, expressing the such, and the addictions the goes with it. thought posting here would help the research. If there are documentaries, books, or anything like that you know of, please post. thank you.

Theology of the Body - Christopher West

And there is a book called Holy Sex by Gregory Popcak that I would recommend for married couples. catholiccompany.com/catholic-books/1004771/Holy-Sex–Catholic-Guide-to-Toe-Curling-Mind-Blowing-Infallible-Loving/

Again, if I knew more of what you are looking for maybe I could give a better recommendation.
Im trying to dig up information so I may establish a collection online. open to everyone you know. then, depending what I could do with it, I’ll spread the information across vile websites like a cure. sound good?

wow…to be honest, by just looking at what you gave me, it seems to be the exact opposite of what I have been taught or the ideal developed from being taught.

Both of the books given are written by good, solid, orthodox Catholics. They contain what should be practiced by all people!

What have you been taught? 😉 Both books have an imprimatur.

First, I would say it is not an effective technique of evangelization to to a drive-by shooting of Catholic literature. You could have all the best links in the world, but no one will take it seriously if you simply swoop in and do a massive cut-and-paste. They will dismiss you as a troll.

Nevertheless, if you want to make a list for those who are actually looking for the information, I have amassed links to a great number of related resources on the Theology of the Body portion of my website:

From an understanding/stand point…lust is sexual appatite is it not? to gratify someone (wife including) would not be added to that list?

Please, do some study.

Sexual appeteit, desire, attraction - these are all part of a healthy marriage.

Lust is disordered sexual attraction, lust is a sin.

Gratification, as in sexual gratification, of one’s spouse is part of a loving marriage, as long as that gratification takes place in a moral way.

Kage_ar is right. A sexual appetite is not sinful in and of itself. A disordered sexual appetite is sinful. That is what lust is.

Excellent! Thank you! Have you thought about putting up pointers to (free) MP3s as well?

Let me see if I can clarify. Sex is a gift. One from God and something shared between the married couple. It is meant to be enjoyable. It’s meant to be an expression of love.

Lust is a disordered desire to use someone. Even if the use is mutual, if there is not mutual love, it is a sinful action. The act itself can either be a loving act or a lustful act depending on the heart of the individual. It is a perspective. Lusting for your wife, even though she is your wife, is still a sinful act. Desiring your wife, in sexual love, is not.

Like art. One can look at a nude as a portrayal of the beautiful work of God or one can look at it as a fantasy object to feed lustful desire. In the latter case, the nude is not bad. What is bad is the lustful desire the person viewing the object. Same for people.

The “Holy Sex” book and much of Christopher West’s work will focus on the marital embrace. However TOB covers much more territory. I strongly encourage you to read up on the basics, and build upon it. Much of our faith is defined by the concepts brought forth from the scriptures referenced in TOB.

That’s a possibility. So far I’ve been limiting myself primarily to ecclesial documents and sources, but I’m interested in opening things up to include other solid sources. It’s a process. 😉

Hello,

I am Jeck. This is my first visit to site.I am new to this site, but I’ve enjoyed posting in your forums.Welcome to the forum.ex education aims to reduce the risks of potentially negative outcomes from sexual behaviour, such as unwanted or unplanned pregnancies and infection with sexually transmitted diseases including HIV.

Young people get information about sex and sexuality from a wide range of sources including each other, through the media including advertising, television and magazines, as well as leaflets, books and websites (such as avert.org) which are intended to be sources of information about sex and sexuality. Some of this will be accurate and some inaccurate. Providing information through sex education is therefore about finding out what young people already know and adding to their existing knowledge and correcting any misinformation they may have.

For example, young people may have heard that condoms are not effective against HIV or that there is a cure for AIDS. It is important to provide information which corrects mistaken beliefs. Without correct information young people can put themselves at greater risk.

Thank you very much and Stay connected with me.
