Information on OCD third order Carmelites

YES…Little One! It IS The same THERESA, The Little Flower.
And, Yes, again, that my Heart DOES burn with a Fire of Love for our Lord whenever I read the words of others who KNOW Him! This Fire has been cleansing me in the dark night for 25 years now. Not just my physical pain. But the pain of longing to go deeper and deeper within, where He dwells alone in Silence and Peace! Coming to Carmel will bring Him into my Mother’s House finally, as the Song of Songs says, "I found Him! whom my Heart Loves…and would NOT LET HIM GO until I brought Him into my Mother’s House!!! Whether or not I can ever physcally get there, I am already entering into Carmel through this entire experience.

Little One, you bring me tremendous Joy because you Love Him!
And, you freely speak of it! This is the abandon that I aspire to!
That I will now embrace! Thank You!

Just remember that there is no person better than another but that we are all brothers / sisters filling the will of our Father in heaven.

I must say here also, that “JimO-CDS”, you were the first to help me some two years ago. I remember you with fondness and feel the love of God in you each time i think of your help.
You say that you and your wife are alone without a group, but I feel each time I think of you, that you are never alone, I feel God’s love very deep within you , Jim.

I find that although I might not know too much, in my heart there seems to be that inkling that God is in touch and control most of the time if not some how all of the time.

At this point I would like to mention that I am not a repetitive prayer, although the two prayers I mentioned I love along with the Lords prayer and some others.
I guess what I mean is that in the OCD there are the allotted daily ritualistic prayers. These are the ones that I used to pray over some years but I lost the joy of repeating myself even to God in the relationship.

However I notice that the daily prayers in the OCD are like yesterday. I can only say that maybe God is wanting me to refurbish and start again with another thought pattern. (just a thought that others may go through?).

littleone, what you have to remember regarding what you call “ritualistic prayers” is that when we are at Mass or when we are participating in the Liturgy of the Hours we are participating as One Body in Christ and so our united prayer through Him to the Father reflects that unity. Even when we pray the Liturgy of the Hours by ourselves in accord with our obligations as Secular Discalced Carmelites we are united one to another in Christ. There is plenty of time each day to be present to God with our own personal prayers; but we are strengthened in our personal prayer by our immersion in the prayer of the Church as a whole - and vice versa.

Yes and that is I guess the trust in strength of being one in our Lord Jesus together. What a gift from Our Father in Heaven to hand down to we humans although made to God’s likeness such a position when we are sinful people even though we have our sins washed away by the blood of Christ.

In my Christian prayer book ( the liturgy of the hour) I can’t find the allotted daily prayers although at the back is the Daily consecration prayer. Am I missing something?

Thank you for that and I agree and didn’t mean ritualistic in the way it seemed. What I meant was for me to resit the same words over again without feeling meaning or regard to who I was relating, I found that at times (many times) while in groups the words would be said so fast that it was like God was saying “whoa! there slow down”. I couldn’t get the feeling of speaking or relating to God how i prefer, because I like to speak how I speak to other people, slow and collectively, hope you understand.

But! that is only me, no pun or putting others down.

littleone, I use the 4-volume Liturgy of the Hours so don’t have the one-volume Christian Prayer that would help me guide you to the daily prayers - I assume you mean the proper prayers for Feast Days and memorials during the week for the Saints. Do you have the booklet that gived you the pages for each day’s prayers? If not, this would help you greatly:

im only trying to relate if i get deleated no more relating helping or asked for rambling.

when i went to church they had the bread and wine of jesus then a bad atmosphere happened in the house of the lord then they used biblical scripture to throw the mountain into the ocean thats when i realized what they did they turned the ocean blood red as in revelations

Yes the proper prayers are all there but I am unformilia with the use of the book so thank you for all you are doing.
