Hi - If this in an incorrect place for an inquiry then feel free to gently correct me 🙂

I am looking for help from anyone who has experience dealing with birth control and teenage girls. I am working on an article for possible publication in the NCR. The article takes a look at birth control being marketed to teenage girls through new media and why parents should be on the lookout. I say possible publication because the editor liked the article but did not guarantee that it would be published. She said the only thing missing from it was a “professional” opinion. So, I ask - does anyone on here, either a doctor or someone who has dealt with this topic professionally, have any (name removed by moderator)ut to give me? I am looking for emotional/physical repercussions of birth control on teenage girls - or their susceptibility to marketing. Also, if you can direct me to anyone or an organization I would appreciate it greatly. I have tried asking a few Catholic medical groups but haven’t gotten a response. Oh, and if you need to read the article before you give me any info, I am happy to send it along to you.

Thanks in advance!

First question, what is NCR?

Second, do you have a right to life group near you to use as a resource. The Oregon Right to Life office has a been of assistance to me when it comes to teaching my high school pupils. They are located on the web at www.ortl.org. There is most likely a similar group in your state. Some cities have their own groups.

Hopefully these ideas will give you some leads on where to find the information or source you need.

God bless

Hi, sorry I should have been more clear - it is the National Catholic Register. However, I do not want to make it sound like I am representing them or anything - I am a freelancer (who is Catholic) and working on this article with a possible publication.

Thanks so much for the replies so far!!!
