Just seeing photos of his ex again brought back that same insecure and hurtful feelings. He actually told me ages ago he thought he deleted all of the photos of her, so that is also why I was surprised to see a few on his laptop. He told me he has them backed up on another hard drive too. I just need to trust him…🤷
ok, this seems extremely contradictory. First he tells you he has no photos of her and you believe him. Then you find photos of the ex which IMO is normal for you to be really hurt. Then he tells you have nothing to worry about and now they are backed up on another hard drive ??? The only reason he knows they are backed up on another hard drive is because he obviously lied when he said he deleted them all

I am with the RealJulianne on this one. I would be carefull

Also, a real man would not say ‘you have nothing to worry about’, a real man would immediately delete them !

As another poster mentioned, it is normal to keep your prom picture if your date is not your current husband. But usually it is tucked away in an album that is looked at every 5 years at best. Not on a computer to be called up anytime. And I doubt you found pictures of his prom.

Sorry please let me clarify. So the photos of his ex were taken 3-4 years ago. At that time he only used his desktop computer. When I met him he only used his new laptop. He told me he deleted all the photos of her (on his laptop-he probably forgot about them being backed up on the other computer). Then recently, maybe 6 months ago, he got an external hard drive, and copied all the photos from his old computer to the external hard drive. Then he copied the photos from the external onto his laptop recently. He told me he’s been going through old photos and deleted nearly 50 of him and her over the weekend and forgot a few, hence the ones I noticed. When I told him I saw the photos of her he deleted them right then and there and said I have nothing to worry about. He said he has them on his old computer too but will delete them off there when he has time.

It’s strange because I haven’t used his computer in such a long time. It just so happened my computer was acting up so needed to use his to get an assignment done. Just bad timing and insecure feelings to blame I guess 🤷 Unless he isn’t telling the truth but I have no reason to not trust him 🤷

Okay, this is a tough call, how about you let this incident go, forget about it, and keep discerning if this guy has the profile of a man you’d want to spare your entire life with. You need to find a balance betwen being naive and paranoid, you gotta learn to trust people who are worthy of your trust but don’t turn a blind eye if incidents like this one happen again. This is the best piece of advice I can give. Good night to you and to all here.

Thank you, Robertanthony. I appreciate your advice! God Bless you and goodnight.

Oops, I meant “spend”.
