Has anyone read a book called** Inside The Bible: An Introduction To Each Book Of The Bible.**
Its by Kenneth Baker, S.J. and published by Ignatius Press.

Yes, its a pretty good book. If you have a Bible with a decent introduction to each book, you may find this a little redundant.

The Bible I use most is the D-R with the Haydock Commentary. I also have the NAB (don’t use it much), The Oxford Study Bible with the Apocrypha, and The Christian Community Bible: Catholic Pastoral Edition.
Looking at these would you say its worth my while buying that book?

Well… I’d have to look at those, first!

I know if provides a better summary than the NAB, but that’s almost being redundant.

Look at your Haydock Commentary at the introduction to each book. It will probably give the history of the book. But does it give a good summary of each book as well as how it fits in the grand scheme of Salvation History. Especially in the OT books, does it tell how it points to Christ?

If not, I’d suggest Kenneth Baker’s book.
