I know that’s a weight on you but you’ve got to understand what you’re dealing with. If there are no actual consequences to his actions, why would he stop?
It may not be what you want to hear, but I do agree with this. A person who has no incentive to stop a desired activity will continue it.

In my opinion, you’re dealing with 2 different issues here. You’re trying to cope with the insomnia, which has put you on a different schedule from your husband. The chat room problem is separate. After all, there are other things he could do besides go to chat rooms at night. Like Sunbreak, I’m a night owl, and I have gone to bed as late as 5 am. My late night activities include DVD’s, music, reading, online forums, and even work. I stay away from chat rooms. In the past, there were problems with family members being disturbed by the noise from the movies & the music, so I started using headphones.

Before the chat room activities, did you and your husband have any problems being on different schedules? Did it cause conflicts? How many sleep hours does your husband get with the medication? If it’s not enough, he may want to revisit his doctor, or a different one.
So he agreed to stop chatting. hopefully this time it will really stop. The past few nights he hasn’t been on the computer at night so we will see. Maybe those who prayed helped 🙂
Do you know what he’s been doing instead since he’s stopped the chat rooms?

For the record, I don’t feel that this is your fault. You didn’t cause the insomnia, nor the chat room visitations.
