I see many websites telling how to pray the rosary, some say different things, i would like to know if there is anything official, you know? thanks

When I bought my first rosary, I also bought a leaflet with it that shows how to pray the rosary. Also, on EWTN at 12:30GMT/BST (Not sure what time this is where you are) there is a programme on the channel, The Holy Rosary with Mother Angelica, which will say The Holy Rosary with you. This is how I learned how to say it last year when I was becoming a Catholic.

Hello. People tend to add or take away prayers from the rosary - some just pray one decade, and some even pray without saying the ‘mysteries’. As mentioned on this post already, rosaries often come with a leaflet. The leaflet I use: ‘How To Pray The Rosary’, has a great write-up of how and what to pray, all the decades, and all the prayers - including the Fatima prayer too!

Here is a website with the leaflet mentioned above. You might find it in churches and abbeys. I think this site is saying you can download it for free, so you could try clicking on my link (if you copy and paste the link it won’t work):

The reason you see so many different ways to pray the Rosary is because the Rosary is a private devotion, and you are free to say it any way you see fit. There are no official documents on how to say it. It is not an official prayer of the Church the way the Liturgy of the Hours is. Find the way that inspires you the most, and use that. Here is a list of papal encyclicals on the Rosary.

Here is a book on the Rosary by one of the wisest children of Our Lady, St. Louis de Montfort.
