Somewhere beyound angels exist{heaven}, why not other intelligent beings, after all this is God’s universe created in love, as he pleases; makes sense He would do so.

“Another of Tesla’s theorized inventions is commonly referred to as Tesla’s Flying Machine, which appears to resemble an ion-propelled aircraft. Tesla claimed that one of his life goals was to create a flying machine that would run without the use of an airplane engine, wings, ailerons, propellers, or an onboard fuel source. Initially, Tesla pondered about the idea of a flying craft that would fly using an electric motor powered by grounded base stations. As time progressed, Tesla suggested that perhaps such an aircraft could be run entirely electro-mechanically. The theorized appearance would typically take the form of a cigar or saucer.”
And what happened to his papaers?

Technologically, we likely would not have anything to offer them. However, that is not the end-all, be-all of discussions with alien species; we have plenty to offer: Eucharist, Penance.
But, if we’re not at or above a certein tech level, an alien race may not pay any antention to us.

Maybe we already are their pets, :bounce: :whacky::bigyikes:

Another factor the Drake equatoion misses is that Life IS. It has produced the Universe in which to express itself. If living things on Earth are an idication, Life will take every possible opportuity to adapt itself to any condition possible of habitation. And how do you and I know what those possible habitations might be, even here, not to mention elsewhare???
We only have ourselves to infer what other extraterrestrial species could possible be, so it makes sense that we are looking for carbon-based lifeforms.

I wouldnt say absolutely zero evidence. I could make an argument on ufos…at least a selected few of them that are very hard to explain. Take the case of the UFO that landed at the British airbase and was witness firsthand, close up, by the base colonel and an associate who has now spoken about it in the last few years. There is also the UFO sighting in southern Illinois near st Louis that was witness by multiple police officers from different cities. Huge object in the sky. These two cases alone, and there are more that are extremely hard to explain with reliable witnesses. May not be from outer space but we can’t explain them which leaves the “possibility” that we are not alone. :hmmm:
Very good criticism of my post. I would say the UFO sitings (although I have never taken time to study any of them and I admit not to being interested in them at all) provide more evidence than all of the scientific arguments regarding the vastness of the universe and the scientific attempts to find water, or radio signals for space, etc.etc.

I would also say that there could be “zero evidence” and yet the possibility or even the probability of intelligent life could still exist. I’m comfortable with zero evidence as the universe is a very big place. It’s easier for me to imagine intelligent life existing than civilizations having the capability of inter-stellar travel. Without the latter, they need an awfully big radio pointed right at us for an very long time for us to hear them OR a gigantic flash light pointed at us. Worm hole theory aside. 😉

Ive been thinking about this and first would like to say the government is irresponsible in not sharing items in experimental consequence’s which lead to many of the viewings. For example, The 1997 Pheonix lights just happen to be in Arizona, why is so much seen in Arizona where we know all kinds of flight and weapon experiments are conducted. So the first
question in the riddle becomes mysteriously shrouded in a potencial for secrecy issues. Secrecy which have later come forward and explained apparently some of the huge clips on line…and then again due to defence, we the public can’t believe anything we see and read.

Second in light of my understandings in a broad overview of an advanced alien species, including time and whats known in this creation, its my view that these sightings can only be mistakes, as if there is an alien with this technology they would know that we know. If they know that we know, then they are absolutely impervious to our knowing and thus any interest in us. Showing off would be the only compelling reason, other then an interest in something else. If there was an interest in something else there would be less hiding and a full out grab and go deal.

Logically against the degree of intelligence besides along with nothing but …more…logical stand , the only possibility is accidental natured.

If its accidental natured , including above and even more worthy argument…if there is something the odds are in massive favor…that it is the most likely culprit of all, Enter Now

Mr Curious…That weirdo…dinkering around like the dumb as that he is

lets here a big welcome for…Future Man. , The always well prepared side show of the universe. Its what he does best, put on a big show by mistake. Man is an idiot with information and always has to have a look to see first hand how it works…I think many of the physics experim have gone too far and are dangerous .

Given the scale of the cosmos, it’s entirely plausible that in some galaxy, somewhere in the universe, there is another advanced civilization asking the same question. The thing is though, we simply do not know right now. All we can do is speculate. If you’re wondering, Catholicism does not exclude the possibility of intelligent extraterrestrial life. If I recall correctly, a Vatican astronomer quipped that he would look forward to evangelizing to members of an alien race.
Bertter we should hope that we are the ones being evalagelized.
