Former Detroit Tigers announcer, Mr. Ernie Harwell passed away yesterday evening. From everything I know, he left this world in our Lord’s friendship. I offer this for him.

Venerated Saint Rita and Saint Christopher, we ask your petitions to our Lord on behalf of Ernie Harwell.

Grant your forgiveness, Lord, to the soul of your servant Ernie Harwell that, being dead to this world, he may live now to you alone, and whatever sins he committed through human frailty, do you, in your mercy, absolve. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Many people were blessed by You allowing Ernie to share his talents with them. I thank you for people like him. Lord please allow the members of Your church to develop our talents further for the purpose of bringing those who do not know You to You and for the purpose of magnifying your Glory in this world and the next. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

For others who have recently left this world in Your friendship especially those who did not have time to prepare as well as those who died unknown and alone, we offer them up to you in prayer for their salvation.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
