cool site
click on blue dot and brief description of Marian apparition in that location pops up
jesusbewith.us/?p=135
site gives a disclaimer that all apparitions are not necessarily approved by the Church
satellite version is way cool

It is a great idea. However, I do not agree with the your statement of a disclaimer. This is what the site says:

"Below is an interactive Google map we built of events and locations recognized by the Catholic Church (mostly).

I do not read this as an authentic disclaimer. Especially since when you click on the blue dot and merely get information on the apparition whether it is an approved event or not - for example Our Lady of Garabandal. Then this particular expample even links you to their web-site.

Therefore, I recommend people stay away from this web-site and use only web-site that clearly draw the line between approved apparitions and those not approved by the Catholic Church.http://campus.udayton.edu/mary//resources/aprtable.html

It is very important to differentiate between approved and unapproved apparitions. I will add that Puzzleannie is normally a very reliable source of information.

Thank you for the corrected link. I think the interactive link is such a wonderful idea…it is unfortunate the information has serious flaws. I went back to the web-site and had not scolled down the first time. In the blog below ~ even more unfortunately ~ people were promoting some close to home visionaries and apparitions that have been silenced by their local Bishops and many of the names that I saw have not been obedient. That is were things can become spiritually dangerous.

This not meant as anything against Puzzleannie personally ~ it calls all of us to be so careful when we recommend other sites.

link works fine for me, and I did make the point it includes unapproved apparitions, but I don’t think looking at the site geographically on a really fun map is going to harm you spiritually. if you want to visit other sites, that is your business, and you can link those problematic sites even from apparitions.org, the only other site organized that does say specifically which are approved and which are not.

Phooey. Wouldn’t work with my prehistoric computer. :banghead:

Thanks anyway, 😃
