Intercession for NFP Awareness Week?

Though this is the tail end of NFP awareness week (at least in the Archdiocese of Chicago), we’re going to stick in a petition for it in the Prayer of the Faithful this coming Sunday.

Does anyone know of a site with some sample intercessions in relation to NFP? Or if anyone is brave enough to compose one of their own, I’d love to read it.

We’re getting ready to introduce NFP as well as a Pro-Life ministry for the first time at our parish, so we’re looking something that is VERY CAREFULLY worded so as to plant the seed for NFP and not to squash it in the first stages. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe “For those couples who are afraid to let God’s will be done in their relationships, let us pray to the Lord.”

Just an off-the-cuff idea. I couldn’t think of a way to actually come out and say NFP without making it sound harsh.

How about this: “As our parish begins making information about Natural Family Planning available to married couples, let us pray that the Holy Spirit will open peoples’ hearts to the full beauty of Christian marriage and family life.”

My wife and I have been teaching NFP (Couple-to-Couple League) for twenty years. But our parish is not very supportive. May God bless your work for the renewal of the family and of the Church.
