Have any of you had and are willing to share your experiences with any intercession from passed family members or saints?

I have two off the top of my head that I attribute to St. Therese if Lisieux.

The first was for a stronger devotion to Our Lady, because for the life of me I just couldn’t love her like she deserves. Eventually, I stumbled upon a little known Servant of God who could very well be a saint. I read his autobiography and his love for Our Mother leaped off the page. It was exactly what I needed. Incidentally, for those who know him and believe that he is a saint, he is regarded as the spiritual brother of St. Therese of Lisieux.

The second was for help in my discernment. I asked this at a little shrine near my home that has some of her relics and a beautiful devotion to her. My help came in the form of a Carmelite priest who works there. I did not ask him. He just offered.

Thank you so much for sharing this with me! Maybe I should add praying for Mary intercession to help me find belief!

No problem! And that sounds like a good idea! I’m sure Our Mother Mary would love to help 🙂

I realized I never included the name of the Servant of God whose autobiography I so enjoyed. So just on the off chance someone reads this and gets curious, he is Brother Marcel Van.

I will absolutely read that! I just read an account of Fatima that shook me to my core.

Isn’t Fatima amazing?? My mother actually met someone who witnessed the Miracle of the Sun. Now that is someone I would have loved to talk to!

Which account btw?

Not exactly the same situation, but my increasing devotion to the Most Blessed Virgin has helped a lot in my growth in the Catholic Faith and in overcoming the heretical beliefs I held for so many years as a Calvinist.
As Pope Pio X said in Pascendi Domini Gregis, she’s the Destroyer of All Heresies! I’m sure that the same intercession that destroyed my calvinism can beat your agnosticism 😉

I wish I could have talked to one of the witnesses directly to hear for myself :/. At least it’s well documented!

There is a member here who goes by the name of SilverAvenger. You could PM him and ask about his great-grandmother’s recollections. She was at Fatima and saw the miracle. She was six years old then, and as of 2014, she was still alive.
