Intercession of the Saints - The people in the Old testament. Asking prayer from Adam & Eve? Moses? Elijah?

Do you think its okay to ask prayer from people in the Old Testament such as King David?

We can ask for prayer from anyone. Myself, I would stick to those whe have a pretty good idea are in heaven, like Elijah and Moses, (given the Transfiguration) rather than people we have no idea of like Adam, Eve and King David.

Not that they aren’t in heaven, but we have had no confirmation of it, as far as I know.

I’m sure if you prayed to someone who was not in heaven, a kind saint would hear your words and intercede for you.

Of course we can approach the OT saints. As a Lay Carmelite I ask Elijah’s intercession quite frequently.

Of course we know. Adam and Eve, and King David are saints, and are inscribed in the Roman Martyrology.

Sts Adam and Eve are celebrated on December 24th.
St David the king has his feast day on December 29th.
