Just ran across this interesting 1917, pre Fatima, event associated with Mary:
Our Lady Derzhavnaya, Icon, found in Kolomenskoye, Russia after having been lost during Napoleanic invasion.
At least some Russian Orthodox have associated this with Fatima, although this is the first time I’ve heard of it. Obviously the Catholic faithful are not required to accept this (or even Fatima) but it is interesting.
