Which boards are they? I want to see a mormon board that bashes catholics like catholics bash mormons here. I will go over there and kick some butt.

well i know it was not baptist board… both diana and i tried to get on that one, and they dont like Catholics OR Mormons. i wont bash you why me. i like you too much. peace

these are tough. i read the same quotes long before i had the internet. i still read books…lol! dont have it on me or i would recomend it. it not only has the quotes you mentioned, but alot more than that. and an ancestor of brigham young was involved with the writing. will continue trying to remember the name of that book, and as soon as i locate it in my memory banks, i will get back to you. im old… Peace

i agree. but i will also have to admit a soft spot for Mormons. i love them dearly. do you still have family that are LDS? if so how do they treat you. also i still cannot remember the name of that book. it has a black cover with the angel moroni on the cover. just cannot remember the title. wonder if you have read it? peace

I just need to defend the mormons. They are not so bad and the lds church is a good church. It works well for my daughters.

What we need to do is pray for your daughters. It is not a matter of things “working well for your daughters.” Since when did worship of God having anything to do with working well with humans? The point is being missed. It’s like you throwing a dirty diaper at your husband or best friend and saying, “this is how I choose to tell you I love you whether you like it or not!” We need to worship God the way He wants to be worshipped not the way we feel like it!

Here is an interesting Brigham Young quote (Journal of Discourses, Volume 11, page 269):

The only men who become Gods, even the Sons of God, are those who enter into polygamy. Others attain unto a glory and may even be permitted to come into the presence of the Father and the Son; but they cannot reign as kings in glory, because they had blessings offered unto them, and they refused to accept them.

It seems the current LDS Church is indeed apostate.

It should also be noted for any who are not aware of it that, according to Mormonism, polygamy is still practiced in heaven. It was only “taken from the earth” when it was revealed to their prophet that polygamy had to stop, but it still applies in the “Celestial Kingdom”.

Interestingly, most Mormon woman are not wild about the idea of their husband having several other wives in heaven.
