Our intellect and will are supposed to guide our emotions and feelings, not the other way around. Feelings and sensations are easily deceived - ask any former drug addict.
Me? Or are you referring to someone else?Sounds like your intrested in health…a lot…have you heard of provibe…its on the internet it shakes you and cleans up your whole body, its very intresting …put provibe in the search engine you will see what i mean… And i dont think you are a wacky teenager i just think your young and searching…out lifes options…
Thanks.I actually have attended both forms of the Mass, and I’ve attended many different parishes, as well as different Masses within those parishes.
Many of y’all have commented on the EF form as opposed to the OF. Sorry guys. The one EF Mass I attended (presided by a friend, I might add) I found to be sterile and lifeless. Please note that this is only an observation of one EF mass, by one particular priest. There is an EF Mass in my home city, presided by a priest who is well loved in the diocese - maybe one day I’ll have the chance to attend that Mass.
As far as “normal” Mass goes, the intensity of sensation which I have experienced at my old parish is pretty unique. Other Masses at other churches can be quite different, even energetically “dead” (but sometimes that is a welcome change - the attention and care that one has to give in an energetically charged environment can be quite taxing; sometimes it is nice to go to a place where you don’t have to worry about that).
Not quite sure I follow you. I’ve attended thousands of Masses, of different types, from High Masses offered at Benedictine Monastaries, to low week day masses, to 3 hour long Holy Day observances, to charismatic Masses, to “normal OF” masses, and an EF mass. I’ve experienced Masses in different languages - Spanish primarily, but others.Thanks.
Your findings tend to confirm my theory that it is difficult - if not impossible - to suppress one’s own personal biases when called upon to render an opinion on matters with which one has had no previous experience. Unless, by energy level, you are referring purely to observed physical activity, I am unconvinced that it is possible to detect the variations you describe.
Or an I missing something?
If the OF liturgy were offered in a vernacular which you had no familiarity - if you were unable to observed the calestetics - what form of “energy” would be detectable?
Also, I’m not clear to your use of the word “calisthenics”. There are some that would use this word pejoratively [edited]. Is this the sense you were looking for? Or something else? Thanks.

[Calisthenics are a form of organized exercise consisting of a variety of simple movements. Groups such as sports teams and military units often perform leader-directed group calisthenics as a form of synchronized physical training, providing a boost to group cohesion and discipline.]Also, I’m not clear to your use of the word “calisthenics”. Possibly, but then I’d be aware of it at every Mass, which is not the case.Could it be that the thousands of OF Masses you have attended have conditioned you to accept its overt demonstration of physical activity as evidence of spiritual energy?
