Point well taken thank you; Jesus is not one to distinguish gentiles to tax collectors, He came so that both might be saved. When Jesus referenced tax collectors, he was referring to an unrepentative sinner; after the sinner refused to listen to the “Church” treat these as you would a tax collector not all the Gentiles.

I’ll help out the poster asking. I enjoyed doing the other ones immensely and have no problem searching and studying the Word of God for the Truth.Rule of thumb: this time Isaiah 48:

I LOVE the above passage!! That is proof positive of where the Divine Creator has spoken from! Only a TRUE Creator would say such gorgeous things! “They are created now, and not from the beginning…” Constantly creating before everyone’s eyes and the world knew Him not.
Psalm 41: 9Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
If you can point out where Jesus is mentioned and/or Judas in that chapter, then great. Otherwise and in fact, it is… false fulfillment according to above rule of thumb! Well, that interpretation… it actually has and is being fulfilled according to how it was declared by God.
First, remember… this is a prophetic book. So, is it really intelligent to assume that only 1 verse out of a chapter can be validated? God declared it and so, the whole of it will be validated and as they happen. But for the sake of, let’s look. Here is a larger portion of what it says:
9 Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
10 And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.
11 And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.

What it is that is sold here is CLEARLY DECLARED and the ironic thing is that most on here have agreed by their own choice and BLATANTLY declared to having sold this out this most valuable treasure… which is truly the most priceless gift ever given to us. I am curious if anyone can pick this out. What is being sold?.. as it is declared and NOT insertions. Note… when it is sold, the right eye, which stands for mercy is darkened. That is not good for those who have sold out.

Since Matthew was writing for a Jewish audience, it is fairly easy to discern the meaning of this passage. Jesus is referring to the way the Jews treat the Gentiles and Tax Collectors, that is, they ostracize them. The meaning of what he said was this: If they refuse to listen to even the church, then treat them as the Jews treat the Gentiles and Tax Collectors. The word “you” in this passage refers to Jewish customs. Matthew most likely worded it this way to catch the attention of his Jewish audience.

Still, just because Jesus referred to the Jews’ practice as a metaphor, doesn’t mean that he thought lowly of the Gentiles. He was quite the social revolutionary. The Jews had the right to hear the good news first, so that is why the Gentiles weren’t preached to at first. That all changed with Peter’s vision in Acts…

Heathen is a good translation of the word gentile. I know there are mistranslations in the King James, and there are additions to the scriptures. The Revised Standard Version is the one that is famous for missing scriptures, (John 8:1-16).
The gospel only went to the gentiles through Paul, it was his idea, Jesus was against the idea. He told them to go to the lost among the house of Israel.

I just love how there is over 60 chapters in this prophetic book and all that can be used to support what is being claimed is a few verses while MANY are ignored. That is not how God declared it would happen.

Ehh, I’m using the New Revised Standard Edition. Specifically, a Catholic Bible. Matthew 16:19 clearly states to make disciples of ALL nations. This is in a gospel written to a Jewish audience. The whole of Acts 10 is devoted to Peter and Cornelius, who was a gentile. As to that translation of the word Gentile. I’ll have to double check that.

No doubt about verse 20. One verse to support a man’s writing is denying the declared Word. Why do you all not explain this to me. It says that your covenant with death SHALL be disannulled and your agreement with hell SHALL NOT STAND.
That is actually a GOOD thing and cause to rejoice!!

a) God declared the servant. It does NOT say Jesus. Can someone simply read who God declared there as the servant and post simply WHAT IT SAYS AS DECLARED BY GOD.
Because that is who is the light to the Gentiles. “… and the world knew him not.”

b) Go back and read Isaiah 1: 1 and tell me who it is this prophecy is for and if you see the word Gentile there.
In other words, PSALM 2!!!
Just posting it as it is declared. Arguments can be taken to the front of the Book aka the Tanakh… wrestle it out there with Him. It is quite worth it I assure you. I was not exempt from it myself.

Do tell, what version would you like to use? I know nothing about a Catholic Bible, but if it is basing its prophesies on the Tanakh… KJV works just fine for declaring the Word of God. You are welcome to grab any Jewish person, the ones in whom the Scriptures originated from that the Catholic Church uses for their support, to come and analyze what I posted.

This should be another interesting one for you all, but it is an offering of gratefulness for having the knowledge and understanding that brings salvation via the Laws of God which are PERFECT for converting the soul. I am one that claim rights to that offering of thanksgiving. And yes, note the difference between LORD and Lord. Can’t fill that in, but there is an interpretation, one in which Jesus confirms and one in which most want to deny.
And if one bothered to read it, they could easily tell this is NOT speaking about what is falsely being attributed to it. He is that good to have straightened it from the beginning, no?1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4 **Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. **

Why on earth would this need to be changed and interpreted. It is PERFECT and is NOT in need of the corruption ANYMORE! I really think it should be obvious by now that the Word of the LORD as declared by Him, to some of us, is PERFECT as is. If you do not like what it says, I’d say it was time to take your fulfilled prophecies and go write your own prophecies that support the fulfillments you are wanting to believe in, because OURS DOES NOT !
It is okay. We understand… ours is flawed and old. We’ll learn to manage. Just quit changing what it says!

Let’s first establish the foundation for declaring who the son of God is since Nature of Reason says that a prophecy can not be written in afterward with bits here, pieces there and handed out, expecting intelligent people to buy into it. There is not ONE other god claimed by man who can do what the Creator of the Whole Earth (the one you are on right now) is doing VIA HIS WRITTEN WORD… in the Tanakh (not so Old, huh?)!

No, you will not find Jesus being declared and considering God said His counsel shall stand… you cannot insert without declaring your counsel higher than God’s.

Here is the fact… it will be one one three… the Word, the Servant, or the Son… all of which you will NOT find declared as any establishments, Jesus Christ variations, and/or well… whatever else you want to try and insert. It is all very clear WHO is it God declared as His chosen people. Psalm 102.
