About a month ago, I went to my parish’s Advent penance service. My confession was heard by an elderly Passionist priest I had never met before.
The priest was very kind. He advised me to call upon the Holy Spirit for help when faced with temptation, advice I had never heard before. Then, he gave me his crucifix to hold while he gave me absolution. It was a great experience.
I just wondered if this is part of the Passionist charism, or just an interesting personal habit of one priest.
