Hi All:

Those of you who have received a copy of the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ Tract “The End of False Religion is Near!” might find the following response from a former JW elder very interesting.

You can find it on-line at the following link:

silentlambs.org/courtrulingnapa.htm

You can even print this out and share it with your JW visitors if you wish.

The owner of this website is a former JW elder. I have been interviewed with him before on a Christian radio program. To my knowledge he is not Catholic. But maybe he will be someday. 🙂

I haven’t seen the tract. I will dash over to the nearest Kingdom Hall and ask for one lol. I will certainly wear my collar. In exchange I will give them a CA tract on the JW’s. It’s only fair.

You can’t just ask them for a tract, they will get paranoid. You must go over and put tracts on all their cars with your address on it, then they will come over and put tracts on all your cars. But, since you started it, you can have your ushers watch your cars, go out with a wheelbarrow to collect their tracts off your cars.

Sounds like an excellent plan. Tract wars. It could become a block buster movie.

I could be Hans Cestus.

If Protestants struggle with our concept of Purgatory [to anable us to achieve personal perfection] after our sins are forgiven by Christ’s sacrifice], how much more ridiculous is the JW notion that salvation is achieved by door knocking

They will happily give tracts to any and all comers. Even those in clerical collars. No reason to initiate a ‘war of the tracts’.

Witnesses have fought with filing after filing trying to claim “clergy penitent privilege” with information that would lead to the possible conviction or implication of further crimes against children by Jehovah’s Witness child molesters.
Say WHAT? Clergy penitent privilege? HAHAHAHAHA. That is so ridiculous, since they don’t have a sacrament of penance. Hey JW’s, first get the sacrament, THEN you can make such a claim.

Anyway, a great site for JW’s to read is this:
webshowplace.com/question/101quest.html

101 questions ever JW should be asked 🙂

I haven’t received the tract, but when I read the title, my first reaction was that they were perhaps shutting up shop and giving their rank and file prior notice? 😃

JWs are an interesting breed. When I was in nursing school I dated a young lady who was a Witness, so to this day when I hear them speak it irks me.

I had a patient last week that was studying to be a Witness and he left behind his magazine that you are speaking of. I noticed the title right away. I also noticed, that like every other publication of there’s, they use very isolated Biblical passages and pictures of Catholics to make their point.

It would drive them crazy to know this, but the patient I had has been in my prayers constantly, as he passed away last week. They do not believe in a soul as we do, so they would say I am wasting my time. I hope someday to see this man in Heaven (or Purgatory if I’m lucky), and know that I helped in some way.

I got the tract in the mail the other day.
I actually looked at the bible references, and I laughed at the fact that they don’t support what they’re trying to say.

Then i threw it in the bin.

No need to be so blatent about it. Be descrete. Just wear a big Rosary on your belt:D

Which reminds me, my ex-landlady is a JW. She lives well east of me now. When I told her about my donning The Green Scapular, she went beserk and told me to take it off RIGHT NOW. I’m surprised I haven’t received a ton of tracts in the mail

I work with a JW and on one or two days of every week, a booklet entitled, “What Does the Bible REALLY Teach?” appears on her desk. I can’t help myself. I always read the title out loud and say, “why, whatever the Catholic Church says it does, of course!” 😃

That’s right, the Watchtower does not hold to the Apostolic Interpretation of Scripture. Only the Catholic Church does.
