I haven’t posted a new thread to CA in quite a while…but one thing I find interesting is that I don’t recognize any of the typical “posters” from, say, a year ago. What does this say about apologetics? A passing phase?

No. Some have moved to protestant boards in order to reach more. Others take a break. Stick around long enough and you will see people appear and disappear from time to time.

God Bless,

I agree that the posting legends like scott lafrance, lisa4catholics, spaceghosts, and that whole crew has not been very active lately.

I leave here for about a few weeks at a time as I keep learning more and participate more on Protestant boards. This is a good place to recharge and get my questions cleared up.

Sometimes there are just too many Catholics here, and they answer the questions pretty quickly and efficiently while on some of the non-catholic boards, I see the Catholic Church being slandered, and just agreed upon as evil\wrong by multiple posters confirming each others beliefs.

Well, actually I still recognize quite a few names. I suppose some get a bit burnt out after a while, and may leave for periods of time.

I just checked and two of those posters have just been on the boards since yesterday.

I haven’t checked any others since I got to get back to work,
God Bless

The last Protestant board I tried to join wouldnt let me because I was Catholic. Could you please give me a link to one that allows Catholics to join.

Get use to that happening often, sad, but true.

I have found that topics seem to repeat themselves or run along the same theme for a few weeks. In order to avoid the semi-annoyance of reading/posting the same answers/comments repeatedly, I take a break. I don’t think it says much about apologetics. (And then there are the times when I become so absorbed in a book or three that I just don’t take the time to read the forums.)
