I apologize in advanced if this is the wrong forum.

Basically, the idea of holding some sort of interfaith meeting between my University’s local Catholic and Muslim student associations has been rolling around in my head for a few months now. I’ve approached some people on both sides and there seems to be some interest there (admittedly, more so from the Catholic association).

For those who have held or been involved with such events in the past, does anyone have any suggestions? If anyone has a suggestions for events, topics, or anything else I’d love to hear it. Thank you in advance, and God bless.

I’d pay a lot to sit in on these discussions. Keep us posted as to how things unfold.

As I see it, one might as well get to the crux of the disagreements between the two faiths rather than skirt around them. Here are some possible topics for consideration:
  • What makes a prophet of God credible?
  • Is the crucifixion a historical fact?
  • Is the resurrection a historical fact?
  • Does monotheism equate to unitarianism?
  • Is the trinity logical?
  • Did the Old and New Testaments become corrupted? Did the earliest Muslims believe this, or was it an explanation conveniently profferred later on to deal with the blatant discontinuity between the Bible and Qur’an?
