I am a devout Catholic and my husband is a christian belonging to a non-denominational church. We have two boys ages 4 and 1. Since my first son was born I was going to have him baptized, but I kept putting it off because my husband did not want me to baptize him in a Catholic church, then he would change his mind and say ok you can baptize him. When my second son turned 1, I finally decided that I was going to baptize my children in my church and I did. My husband did not attend the ceremony which really crushed me. He told me that our children were too young to be baptized and for me to wait until they could decide on their own which religiong they wanted to follow. He also says the bible says how the woman should follow the man which he says means I should change my religion and become one with him. I don’t know what to do especially since I want my son to celebrate his first communion when he’s in the second grade. I am totally hurt, lost, and feel that I am not respecting my husband. Please give me guidance.
