On second note even if it is me bothering you, you can still call me to bother me. Then I get to be the botherer(squared) and botheree…so much bother I would spiral into a self inflicted bothering vortex from whence I may never return? But I would probably bother the vortex and get spit back onto earth…eh.

Thanks LethalMouse for being a good samaritan! Appreciate it a lot! May God bless us all

Sorry-sorry!

The original post looked so much like some posts last year that were “made-up” stories that some CAF forum users got annoyed about. One of the characteristics of those posts was that the OP kept bringing up more twists, turns and additional problems to the story with no end in sight. and never seemed to accept the advice offered. They were always the first post or so that the OP ever made on the Forums. I apologize for confusing you with those people and hope you can be helped by participating in these Forums.

. He is good with his words and I am not. .
umm… no you are good at listening (which allows him to express himself) and he is not good at listening which makes even the best speaker clam up
. After our talks, he will not speak to me. He even at one time stayed in our room all day in bed. .

Honestly, I don’t think religion is the issue. It sounds like your husband has abusive tendencies. Instead of defending the faith with words (which will likely just cause a fight), defend it with action IE keep practicing your faith.

I hate to say it but… I really think you need outside help (either talking to a priest of a counscellor) to uphold your strength. After your confidence is strong, then start to confront him

Just now, a friend from way way back in junior high called me through facebook. We just found each other late last year and we are both on mat leave. She just asked me to be a godmother to her child in a dedication. I’m in shock why this is happening right now. I dont know how to reject her invitation to explain why i cannot be…help…
I hope you get help for your situation in general; counseling seems like a great idea.
Meanwhile I thought I would address this question you asked.
It’s important to me because my first son was dedicated in a non-denominational church, and years later I converted to Catholicism. But by then he was nearly grown and had abandoned any faith. It’s one of my greatest sorrows that my son wasn’t baptized. I encourage everyone to baptize their children as soon as possible.

I would just say to your friend that you follow St Paul’s teachings, that infant baptism was what the early church practiced, and you wouldn’t be comfortable assisting at a dedication instead.
God bless.

.

Thank you for explaning, Retire early. I have Big problems.

Vicki63- the friend that asked me was a friend/classmate from junior high. I don’t even know why she asked me, coz we weren’t really close at this point. Regardless, I replied to her and said I couldn’t be a Godmother because I wouldn’t be able to be a good role model in faith due to different denomination. She didn’t reply back. I feel terrible human being. Should I have said No and not give reasons? Also, she doesnt know that im married with a non catholic. Sigh… now i have probably lost a friend.
