Interregnum plenary indulgences

All quite so. I was pointing out that whilst it is not 100% as is a plenary indulgence, and whilst as your quote stated - " …in proportion to the degree t which the charity of the one performing the act is greater …and in proportion to the degree …is performed in a more perfect way…" - wherein lies the issue, how frequently do we in our fallen nature do anything out of perfect charity?

So whilst n.5. states the two components - remission of temporal punishment + an equal remission granted through the intervention of the Church, it still does not state how much a partial is equal to, again I would say the above factors are the determining factors.

Therefore I said partial is not equal to full (obviously) - but may for all we know be only slightly less than full, but as is dependant on the above factors, could amount to 99% but also obviously could be a lot less. The fact is we just don’t know. But that doesn’t mean we should dismiss partial indulgences as being of no consequence and unworthy of us obtaining them.

Unless you are aware of how much these components add up to?

John XXIII revised the protocol for conclaves, so that if no candidate achieves a 2/3 vote within six ballots, the seventh will be a run-off between the top two candidates, majority wins.

Some time ago I resolved to have the virtual intention, which I renew at every confession, of obtaining all the plenary and partial indulgences at every moment of my life, of which I am worthy.
That’s a great idea! I never thought of that one. I always make my First Saturday intention before confession on First Saturday.

The standard old-school “Morning Offering” to be said daily contains the line, “And I desire today to obtain every indulgence and merit I can” so you were covered for each day if you had the habit of saying the prayer daily.
I say it every day. If I miss a day, I say it twice the next day and tell God one of them is for the missed day.

That’s part of my morning offering too! Maybe we say the same one:

O my God, in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary (here kiss your Scapular; partial indulgence also), I offer Thee the Precious Blood of Jesus from all the altars throughout the world, joining with It the offering of my every thought, word and act of today. O my Jesus, I desire today to gain every indulgence and merit I can, and I offer them, together with myself, to Mary Immaculate, that She may best apply them to the interests of Thy Most Sacred Heart.

Precious Blood of Jesus, save us!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

There are intentions that the Holy Father always has, as listed and described in the article
New pope: “but I didn’t intend to intend those intentions!”

🤣😜

More seriously, though, that seems to do violence to the word “intent” . . .

I don’t think John XXIII did that. John Paul II made it possible for such a “simple majority wins” run off but it would not have been after only 6 ballots. It has to go on much longer. It is possible for the Cardinals to decide to have a run off, if they can’t elect anyone after (if my math is correct) 33 ballots (see Universi dominici gregis, n. 74).

However, Benedict XVI changed the law so that even if there is a run off between two candidates, 2/3 majority is still needed in order to elect a new Pope.
