I have 3 interviews tomorrow, and 2 of which I really want. But, over the weekend I got a blister on my lip and this morning it was huge! It got better throughout the day. it’s not gone though, and I am embarssed to go to interviews this way. Should I reschedule my interviews? I don’t want to, but I am worried it might hurt my chances. What would you all do?

I’d say to continue treating it and go to your interviews as scheduled. You aren’t ill, and I think rescheduling looks really bad unless the situation is dire (e.g. car accident).

Good luck!

Thank you so much!

I’ve rescheduled an interview before, and it was because my son was sick and he needed me. They understood, and it was rescheduled. They changed rebooked my flight and my hotel.

I don’t think they will be put off by the blister, you can say something about it if that will make you feel at ease.

Is this a modeling job or another job where appearance would be a big deal? if not then it should not be a problem, they are not hiring for you for your appearance.

Do not reschedule interviews. That is worse than a blemish.

And you do not want a job not professional enough to overlook a physical blemish.

That being said, no matter your gender, a tiny touch of makeup can help.

Your boss won’t care about your cosmetic worries. Or at least, shouldn’t. Don’t reschedule. Rescheduling for a blister will put them off. Interviews are rare things, and they take a lot of time. You want to show these people you’re ready to go, and hit the ground running. Not wasting their time.

Let the interviewer do most of the talking.

[Sometimes they might do ALL of the talking and think you are brilliant.]

Thank you everyone! I ended up going to the interviews, and I think they went well.
