The one thing I am really confused about is what I say to my children.
We have five adopted children, we have 2, 1/2 brother & sister combo who love attention and I am sure are thrilled there is someone new in their lives. I have a feeling they will be very positive, while my daughter who is at home probably is internalizing the whole thing.
The two other will not care. How do I address this with each one?
Not to mention my wife, sorry ex-wife, is saying this person is not replacing me, but really no matter what isn’t that happening. You can say what you want, but here is a man who comes in for a week and she is trying to forge some kind of relationship with the children and him.
