Okay so I ordered wedding invitations a couple of weeks ago. I wrote out exactly what I wanted and the bridal store sent in the order.
So yesterday I get the invitations and I notice that there is an ENTIRE line missing from the wording. I understand that their are “typical” ways to word invitations but I chose to have both of our parents names listed but the groom’s parents were nowhere to be found. This wouldn’t be a big deal but now the grammar sounds weird because his parents aren’t listed.
Needless to say, I called the store and told them my problem. The woman that answered didn’t know what to do so I had to wait three hours for her to call me back and tell me what the owner had said. Apparently my invitation didn’t have room for that many lines and instead of telling me that I needed to take it out or choose a different invitation they just took it upon themselves to take out that line, making the grammar sound like I’m an idiot. I told the nice lady about the grammar issue when she explained to me what had happened and she again told me she would have to call me back (tomorrow) to tell me what the person that actually knows what she’s doing told her!
The woman that took down what I wrote was the only one in the store at the time and she was just a temp. I had to tell her where to find the price for the invitations in the book! I am so frustrated! not with the poor people that took down what I wrote or answered the phone, I’m mostly frustrated with the owner of the store that wasn’t present to inform me of everything BEFORE I paid for the invitations in full. I wish she would stop delegating everything to people that have no idea (the phone person told me she didn’t even know what the owner was doing) and try helping her customers. It seems very unprofessional to me.
Goodness that felt good. Sorry this is so long
