I like it. Also that is one of my favorite portraits of Christ

But non-Catholics also want a knowledgeable authority to impart that information, not some piece of paper with a lot of writing and NO AUTHOR/no credentials listed.
THIS
One more issue that I have with the brochure–find a more “modern” painting of our Lord Jesus. That painting looks too “Catholic.”
Also make sure you use an image that is not under copyright. Your Diocese Social Media person can direct you to resources.

Also, it is just too much “wall of text”.

The idea is good but too much to read for a flyer. I would really reduce the amount of informations and use bigger fonts.

Thank You English Teacher

What I like about it is that no model was used. From the artist mind.

Quote “The Head of Christ, also called the Sallman Head, is a 1940 portrait painting of Jesus of Nazareth by American artist Warner Sallman (1892–1968). As an extraordinarily successful work of Christian popular devotional art, it had been reproduced over half a billion times worldwide by the end of the 20th century”

I think the text is still too dense. A random stranger getting the flier very unlikely will read all the text, particularly if the vision is not perfect.

We need to be careful about using “insider language”. “RCIA” means noting to most non-Catholics.

I’d simply this is “From the Catholic Church of St Thomas Aquinas” with the parish facebook handle and website and phone number listed.

Also, if you capitalize “Crucifix” also capital the pronouns for Christ.

Our big brothers and sisters
As Catholics who love our faith, our sole mission is to help others discover what we have.
Its not all clean and neat as we all wish. Our family has many problems within her walls. As well as outside. We should all take comfort in the fact that we have the Crucifix front and center. I always love to get anyone who is open to leaning more about our catholic faith right under the Crucifix. I was blessed to help with the RCIA in Logan Utah for 14 years. We would get LDS youth groups on church tours that we gave once a month. Those still in high school. The stories I could tell. 7-sorrows, I want you to think about putting together tours of your Church. Find a few others who would love to do this. Once a month if possible. Each person talks about a certain subject. One talks about the Crucifix. I always like to ask them questions right below it. “How does this make you feel” “What have you been told about Crucifixes” etc…
The next might be about the stations of the Cross. The Baptismal font / Baptism. Talk about the statues, the Confessional. Oh my God did I not love to talk about Confession with them in and around the Confessional. "We all stand in this line together. Even the Pope, Mother Teresa. They all go as well. ETC… I could go on and on and on. I will spare you. Think about it. God Bless

Those are wonderful ideas!! I actually wanted to be Catholic before I was confirmed into the Episcopal church. I wanted to learn more about Judaism and
Catolicism. I didn’t think the Episcopal church had the fullness of the faith.
So I wish I could have had the Catholic church in the town I grew up in “reach out”
to the community and invite us to tour the Catholic church.

Why is the blessing in lieu of communion “special”? As a non-Catholic who comes from an open communion background, I’d want to hear more about the blessing as I’d be put off by not being welcome at your table.

I’d expect a historical reenactment of what the Last Supper was like. In other words, a performance of a historically accurate Last Supper. E.g., Jesus and 12 Apostles in a primitive room, around a rustic table, wearing period clothing. No crucifixes, no music, no chanting
That’s not really what the Mass is about, though. The Mass is the heavenly banquet and importantly the perfect sacrifice. It’s not a reenactment of the Last Supper…

I have been receiving a Blessing for about a month now and I am a devout Catholic. Why a Blessing and not Holy Communion for me? Because I need to go to confession. I know that Jesus does not want me to be weighted down while at His Table. Nor do I want to be. If one came to your table and was bleeding. Would you not first tend to the wound? Did not Judas have a wound? One that he brought to the Table? Hope you can understand this. I really do. Its just one deep aspect.
When we say Amen after receiving the Body and Blood of our Lord we are saying we believe in all that His Church teaches us. Its a journey to the Table. Took me over 40 years to get there. I am always welcome there Holy Communion / Blessing or not.

“Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord” . How could Corinthian Christians participate unworthily in a reenactment?

So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. 29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves. ~1 Corinthians 11:23-34

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. Do you think this bible quote supports the Mass as a reenactment? Because I’d say it’s an early attempt to describe the concept of transsubstanciation and to describe the proper disposition to receive the Eucharist (as well as an endorsement for closed communion).
How is that a reenactment?
