I’m not Catholic, but I attend Mass regularly with my wife and son, who are. Recently I received in the mail an application to join the Knights of Columbus, along with a personal note asking me to do so. They’re only open to Catholics, aren’t they? So I don’t quite know what to make of this. It’s probably just a mistake, and they’d reject my application anyway since the form asks if the applicant is Catholic. Or maybe I should apply, maybe nobody would notice or care. I know they do good works, they seem like a nice enough bunch of guys, and maybe it would be a good influence on my son someday.

Are any of you here Knights of Columbus? What do you think of it?

Chances are, the KofC’s sent out a mailing to men who are registered in the Parish but not members. You would not be permitted to join, it is open to Catholics only.

Maybe time to join RCIA and come on in!! Think of being a Kinght as a great fringe benifit.

DH is not Catholic but he sings in our choir and he’s been approached to join the KofC several times. He just smiles and says “Thank you for the invitation but I’d don’t qualify.”
