Hi everyone,
I always purchase music. Whether it be CDs or through iTunes.
Recently I was thinking about getting a Napster Subscription because the iTunes store is getting very costly sometimes.
Itās really sad to see that Napster spoils their DRM-Free iPod ācompatibleā slogan by jipping the ipod users. iPod users can only buy mp3s to work on ipods (by the album or song which is no different then iTunes) while the rest of the legal downloading Napster users can sync up their mp3 players with the existing subscription ($14.95 monthly).
My question is: would it be morally acceptable to purchase the $14.95 monthly subscription and use Rockbox for my iPod.
Rockbox would make it so my iPod would be able to play all the music file types that most of the other MP3 players play automatically.
Iām not sure because I know that this isnāt stealing at all. (Iād be paying for the legally purchased music.)
However, Iām not sure if this would be ok.
