A 19-year-old Iranian girl with a mental age of eight who was forced into prostitution by her mother has been sentenced to be flogged and executed for ‘morality-related’ offences, Amnesty International said yesterday.

This is shameful, if everything here to true, it is her mother whom should be flogged!!! My heart breaks for this poor child.

Heartbreaking. . . I’ll be praying, and this lets us know even more about what Islam is, and why we have got to pray for their conversion.

I think that if we knew only a portion of the things that go on in the middle east we would be grossed out!

Look at your own country…if you knew some of the stuff i’ve heard about even at my age you’d be horrified…its not just the problem of the middle east…

Some of the worst things in the world go on in our country. We do not, however claim that they are religious in nature. That is the difference between Christianity and Islam.

This is exactly why these people should not have a nuclear device. Would they oppose supplying a bomb to punish us for our “Morality related” offenses?

Where is St. James to somehow blame this on the Jews? Islam is going to be our real challenge into the next century.

Exactly. Christianity, at its core teachings, is about repentance, forgiveness, and peace for believers and just plain peace for nonbelievers. Islam, at its core teachings, is about punishment, suffering, and death both to those that violate the faith and those that do not believe.

We should not be surprised. This is what happens when a Christian heresy spreads untouched by the Truth - it takes on the look and feel of eternal death personfied.

Where does the Catholic, or any Christian Church for that matter, teach that you must obey your parents if they are telling you to commit a sin? I have never had any experience with parents who forced their children to sin.
If you are talking about abuse and the child keeping quiet that is not Christian teaching either.

Challenge away. First, there are no mainstream Christian churches in the US that allow these types of abuses. Secondly, if you are referring to some “odd ball” church that claims to be Christian, they are subject to the law on abuse.

What goes on in many of the countries in the Islamic world is religious-sanctioned and state-sanctioned abuse, torture and murder. Its not some “odd ball” sect of Islam…Wahabism is practiced in large numbers in countries like Saudi Arabia. This is one of the most extreme sects of Islam that appears to be fostering the Islamofacists that think its ok to blow up babies to achieve their goals.

There is absolutely no moral equivalency between what happens there and what happens here.

Well, this is another practical example of islam, yes we know that Emmy of Texas and others don´t appear here, because this isn´t islamic, but I don´t know none who says that this people are unfaithful, I want to ask everybody a question:
If the yihad and islamic terrorism was against islam, Al Azhar university and others can demonstrate very easy, " I say that now and the future the terrorists that kill and suicide in the name of Islam will be named Kafirs( Unfaithful) why don´t do it? because islam and terrorism islamic are very joined, greetings

People should improve things in their own country before they look to others, and there are alot, too many, fundamentalist Chrisitian groups who do realy awful things…its more widespread then you would think and its VERY secret.

So the Islamast do this stuff in public, our nation excutes babies behind closed doors just so young women can achieve their goals.

This is the “you can’t do anything good until everything is perfect” argument.

This does not work as none of us will ever be perfect. The fact that some people claim to be Christians and still abort their babies is a problem. The fact that radical individuals, driven by the teachings of Islam want to kill innocent people, is also a problem. Both must be combatted.

Im not saying things need to be perfect, I am saying that an American outcry will do nothing for this poor girl, but an American outcry towards our socal problems could have all the difference in many lives.

Actually, it’s doing quite a bit - maybe not for this girl - too late - but for many future teenagers as Christianity continues to grow in the Middle East.

I think there should be more outcry in America - although there is some that should not be discounted.
