quackwatch.com/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/iridology.html I am not sure this falls into the realm New Age medicine, but I don’t think there is much basis for science in it either. I think it is promoted by a network marketing company called Natures Sunshine, which might be the pills you had. These are just herbs, not drugs. I went to someone for herbal treatments and she did iridology too. She kept insisting my daughter had some major trauma in her life because of her iris. Wrong on that count! She too was very religious, but a bit misguided I think.

I am new to this but find it enlightening. Did the person you used explain what she was doing? Did she have education in what she was doing? Did you ask her? Mine did n I didn’t have to ask her. BTW, magnets won’t hurt you! Mine didn’t use magnets but a magnifying glass. What she saw was very very accurate without my having to give her info about myself. She said the wavy lines tell of conditions in our bodies n circles explain heredity. She also advised that the optic nerve runs from our eyes to our feet and is very similar to reflexology which makes perfect sense to me. Regarding giving “PILLS”, she is NOT giving medication. She is giving HEALTH FOOD SUPPLEMENTS. Have you asked your dad to explain to you why he believes as he does? If not, ask him. He wants to share w/u much as our HEAVENLY FATHER does.
