although a weekday Mass at Vigo Cathedral was over in less than 20 minutes and that was with about a dozen of us taking Holy Communion.

We have a couple daily Masses in the area like this that run about 20 minutes and don’t feel the least bit rushed - in fact, the first few times I attended, it was surprising to see my watch as I was leaving. They’re very accommodating of the working crowd, one scheduled in the early AM and one at lunchtime.

So the fact that the priest is unwell means he is allowed to skip important parts of the mass? I don’t just mean on one mass… I’m talking repeatedly skipping these parts (Creed, Gloria) on Sundays, week after week.
