Is a civil wedding recognised by the Catholic church?

Hi,

If two non-catholics get married in a civil wedding but convert to Catholicism at a later date, would their marriage be recognised in the Catholic church? Or would a blessing ceremony be available to repeat the vows in front of God?

I have tried to find the answer to this question but have found opposing answers!
