Is a Masters in Scriptural Theology more difficult...?

About 10 years ago, a priest told me that getting a masters in scriptural theology was either the most difficult masters in catholic theology to obtain, or one of the most difficult. Is this true and why?

This priest got his licentiate in dogmatic theology from gregorian university.

Maybe talk to the Vocations Director in your Diocese. They can explain the rigors of each degree path. Even if you’re just curious and not discerning.
 
I am not discerning. I was just curious to know if this is true, and if so, why.

Often a scriptural theology masters requires some ancient language study, though not always. If the program does require ancient languages, that would make such a program more difficult than other theology master’s degrees, such as the M.Div, which most often do not require ancient language study. To add to the confusion, a degree is biblical theology is not the same as a degree in biblical studies, which would be still more difficult. But it seems you are most interested in theological degrees.
