Can the Priest force someone to receive Communion on the tongue. I’ve had this kinda happen once, he said “Body of Christ” and I said “Amen” and opened my mouth, slightly sticking out my tongue (btw, what IS the proper way to receive on the tongue?)
The priest had already begun shoving the Blessed Sacrament towards my hands, which were in a praying position. I opened my eyes because he did not give it to me yet, and he just stared at me. I said “Amen” again, and after about 10 seconds of just standing there, he finally gave it to me.
Is a Priest allowed to refuse giving communion on the tongue? I have a pretty good feeling that the answer is that the Priest cannot do this…
