Is a sin to assist to a Baptist meeting of adoration being a Catholicist?

I rised as a Catholic, but with a weak religiousity indeed… Afther my father get out home my approach to God grow up, but then I become a Baptist. Now, after two years of joining a Catholic University, I feel see that Catholicism is the correct Christianity.

My mother and little brother, who became baptists with me, don’t know about my decision. But they allow me to go Mass. I would want to know is it is a sin or not to attend the Baptist celebretion too. It is singing, reading the Bible and their interpretation (which I think with catholic categories) and praying. It does not involve sacraments, tough there is a representation of the partition of the Bread (as a piece of cookies) and the Wine (as grape juice) wich is after eaten and drunk, without any divine identification or sacralisation of the Bread and the Wine in that, just as a remembrance.

Dear Gabriel,

It is wonderful that you now see that the Catholic church is the true faith. Thank God. It is good that you go to Mass. Since you are baptized a Catholic, you should go to Mass every Sunday. I hope that soon you will talk to a priest and learn more about the faith so that you can begin to go to Confession and receive Holy Communion and become Confirmed as a Catholic. There is no better way to worship God.

It is not a sin to go to the Baptist church with your mother and brother. You can pray with them there but you should not receive communion there because, really, you are Catholic and that is not permitted. I know that you realize it is only a symbol in the Baptist church but you should not receive this symbol.

Sooner or later you will have to tell your mother and brother that God wants you to come back to the Catholic church and you have to follow what He wants. God bless you.
 
It’s important that you never miss Mass on Sunday though, because Baptist services do not fulfill our Mass obligation, okay?

Never…repeat never, again take communion in a Baptist service, since it gives a false witness that you share in their beliefs that is not true.

I suggest that you tell your family and be honest. Your sharing the truth is an important witness to them and may well be an instrument of their conversion as well.
 
You should absolutely go to Confession at your Catholic parish, and discuss your conversion with the priest. Make mention of any mortal sins you may have committed since the last time you were a practicing Catholic. It is important to be reconciled with the Church, in order that you are in a state of grace, and properly disposed to receive Holy Communion at Mass in your Catholic parish.

Glad to hear that your intention to return to Catholicism. Likewise, I’ve made up my mind to be a Catholic after 20 over years (baptised in April 2011) with 4 years in a Pentacostal church. Though there were dynamic preachings, worship in the Pentacostal church, my heart still yearned to receive Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and at times I spent quiet times in adoration rooms.

Try praying and talking more to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and HE will draw you back home (Catholic Church).
