Is Acupuncture okay with the Catholic Church?

Just wondering for health like arthritis and chronic conditions if okay to go to acupuncturist?
My friend is going that has rhuematory arthritis and is helping her out.
Is this acceptable withe the church in health conditions? I know some have gone to quit smoking too or to stop eating too much. Is it acceptable in any of these situations?
