Is all touch sinful?

As long as it isn’t stimulating(co-masturbation). A better way would be to just take off their clothes and show themselves, nudity being non-sexual, as long as lust can be avoided.

I don’t believe in sin but that is besides the point. Why would it be a sin to intimately touch someone? Intimate touching is an important part of a healthy relationship if you ask me.

Ok. There is a woman and a man. The man is a celibate homosexual and the woman has no physical attraction to the man. They are very close best friends. They like to show their closeness and trust by touching each other under their clothes. There is nothing sexual about it. No arousal. No lust whatsoever. Just a symbol of how close they are in their friendship.

The situations some people come up with are hilarious. Interesting question though, I guess it would be what’s biblically defined as actions allowed for marriage so regardless of whether there’s arousal or lust it would still be wrong.

Weird and definately sinful.

A gay celibate man shows his friendship by fondling a woman and it isn’t sexual? :hypno::hypno::hypno::hypno:

Tell them to rub elbows instead and see how it’s received. :takeoff::takeoff::coolinoff::coolinoff:

Titus 1:15 “To the pure themselves, nothing is impure.” If there is no sexual intention and no lust, only the body of a good friend created and gifted by God is it really sin? Is there any way to have a priest come in here and answer this?
The idea that you are expressing has been rejected by the Magisterium in Pope John Paul II’s encyclical Veritatis Splendor. Good intention and absence of the bad intention (lust) is not sufficient. All three fonts of morality must be good: intention, the act itself (with its moral object) and the circumstances.

wrong on all counts, their rationalizations of a wrong act and their denial of what is going on is also wrong. Whatever the physical or emotional reaction they are having, it amounts to mutual masturbation, using each other as objects for gratification, and yes it is gravely sinful and wrong on many other levels as well.

OP is not describing two people in a healthy relationship. She is describing two people using each other as objects. Wrong wrong wrong

A healthy relationship that involves sexual touching is marriage. Anything else is just plain old fashioned fornication.

the rationalizations expressed in OP’s hypothetical case are precisely those used by many child molesters to justify their actions “it was not sexual”. No not normal sexuality, but sexual nonetheless, and most gravely sinful regardless.

I think this is tough to judge without more context. Are the celibate homosexual and the straight woman touching each others’ sexual organs, or just hugging intensely? As, what, some kind of bizarre greeting ritual? Do they walk up to one another on the street, and, instead of a handshake, reach down each others’ pants? If so, why? If the action is completely non-sexual, why wouldn’t a long hug or friendly hand-holding accomplish exactly the same goal? Is the goal bonding and emotional sharing through physical contact, or is it something more that for some reason involves the sexual organs?

If the sexual organs are not involved, then why are we even asking this question? There’s nothing morally wrong with holding hands, giving back-scratches, or even rubbing the tummy of a close friend… although I must say if I tried to give my best friend a tummy-rub, he’d give me a real weird look. So the answer to the topic question is: No, “all touch” is not sinful. Just sexual touchin’ with somebody who ain’t your spouse fer no particularly good reason.

So…without more information about the specific situation here, I don’t think we can make a fair judgment. Condemning this as definitely as a sin strikes me as eager forum-goers making a few assumptions about said situation. On the other hand, given the downright weirdness of the question, I can’t say I blame them for making those assumptions.

Hope that helps.

That is weird and deviant behaviour. I think maybe the man is not really a homosexual. It points to many complex and, in my opinion, confused sexual issues.

This choice of expressing frienship like this sounds more defying than anything else…
Kind of weird,isn´t it?

That would still be showing intimacy. Why would a gay man want to touch a woman in that way? If you love eachother as friends there is other ways to show it than touching each others privates. That’s a little weird. Now if you were touching yourself without lustful thoughts, I’m not sure if that would be sinful if no thoughts are involved.
