Is an annulment needed when I am my ex's third wife?

My ex husband was married and divorced twice before we married. Neither of us is Catholic, but I am interested in becoming Catholic. If I were to marry a Catholic, would I need an annulment? Does the Catholic church consider him to be still married to his first wife?
